Gary Faulkner is a man on a mission. That mission is a simple one: track down Osama bin Laden. At least, that’s what authorities say his goal was. Faulker, a 52-year-old man from California, was detained by police in Pakistan as he tried to cross the border into Afghanistan in the Nuristan province. He was carrying a pistol, sword, night vision equipment, and Christian literature. However, he denies that he was trying to kill Osama, but doesn’t deny trying to capture the world’s most wanted man.
Interestingly enough, Faulkner claims this isn’t his first trip to Pakistan, and that he’s made several attempts to track down Osama in the years since 9/11. I think someone’s watched entirely too many super hero movies and now thinks he’s like Charles Bronson in Death Wish, enacting vigilante justice where the system has failed to act. Just because he’s bad at the job doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate his attempted work.
