There are identical twins, and then there’s Ruby and Pearl Day. Aside from both being named after precious stones, the two 18-year-olds share a room at home, a major in college (performing arts), the college itself, and even a personality. They just might be the most identical twins in the world, and they’re definitely the most identical twins in Great Britain after winning a contest held by Cadbury’s Wispa Duo at the Pineapple Dance studios.
Can you tell the two apart? I can’t; the pair say that everyone gets them confused, even their own boyfriends! Said Ruby, “People at school were always muddling us up and even now at college some people confuse us. We’re so alike we’re even able to trick our boyfriends as to who’s who – but we quickly correct them if they’re wrong!” Given their similarities, it’s no wonder the girls are inseparable!
When I was in college, I knew not one, but multiple sets of twins, all identical. One set I was friends with, and who took great pains to differentiate between one another, to the point where one grew his hair out while the other shaved his hair off. The other two sets, well, didn’t do this. As such, I couldn’t really tell them apart unless I was really looking, and that’s the pair I knew well! In the case of the set of twins I didn’t know really well, I generally just waited until someone else spoke to them before calling one out by name.
