It’s the kind of scam you’d expect from Nigerians, the scam masters of Africa. However, they had a little help in obtaining sham marriages when it was time to stay in Great Britain after visas had expired. Rev. Alex Brown, the vicar of St. Leonard-on-Sea church in Sussex, England, has been found guilty of performing over 360 sham marriages in four years (out of 383 total marriages) as part of an immigration scam which married Nigerians off to cash-strapped Eastern Europeans.
Brown’s conspirator, Vladymyr Buchak, was the point-man for the Eastern Europeans, cajoling and convincing them to take part in the scam, in which they were married off to Africans who wanted to remain in Britain for the sum of 3,000 pounds (about $4700 US). There’s one thing you can say for sure; this never would have happened under the watchful red optical sensors of RoboPriest.
