The King is alive, and looking to become The Governor.  Of Arkansas, that is!  Elvis D. Presley has filed paperwork to run for governor of the state of Arkansas, according to the Arkansas secretary of state’s office in Little Rock.  As it turns out, Elvis D. Presley isn’t the actual Elvis, but an Elvis impersonator and fan from Star City, Arkansas, who has somehow found the time to run for governor (at least in one county).

Elvis is running on a campaign platform to, and I quote, “supply the people with a broader array of employment and newer chain of state government.”  If that makes sense to you, then you’ve got someone you can vote for!  Of course, Elvis still has to file in all 75 counties in Arkansas, but he’s the King; he can get his guys to TC of that B for him.  Plus, he can sell hs hair clippings to enrich the state nest-egg!
