Just after midnight, a woman’s home was broken into. She was hit in the face with a pistol and tied to a bedpost while the criminal rummaged through her stuff at her Glenwood Avenue home in Atlanta, Georgia. However, the woman is nothing if not resourceful. Despite being bound to the bed, she was able to type out a rescue message and send it to her boyfriend, using only her toes as typing tools. Of course, it took about 5 hours for her to do this and I imagine her keyboard didn’t smell too good afterward, but hey, at least she got free!
However, it’s not all bad. The woman escaped unharmed aside from some mild pistol-whipping, and the suspect, 17-year-old Dontavius Jackson, was apprehended by police and is now in jail awaiting trial. He was the passenger in a vehicle pulled over by police, where he was arrested on outstanding warrants and later picked out of a line-up by the toe-typer.
You’d really be surprised at what your toes can do (when they’re not being chewed off by dogs). I routinely use my feet to pick stuff up off the floor all the time, because I’m too lazy to bend over and recover it manually.
