It has to be heartbreaking.  A wedding, an event worth celebration, turns into a funeral after a groom accidentally shoots several guests at his own wedding.  One of the traditions of Turkey is to fire a gun into the air to celebrate pretty much any major event.  At a wedding in the village of Akcagoze, in the southeastern province of Gaziantep in Turkey, a groom was firing a borrowed AK-47 into the air to celebrate his wedding when he lost control of the gun and killed three wedding guests.

The worst part of this already sad story is that the three people the groom killed?  Two of his aunts and his own father.  The groom was arrested by police after the incident.  Turkish police have been trying and trying to stamp out the traditional celebratory gun volley, as many people have been hurt or killed by accidents like this, but so far they have been unsuccessful.  Maybe this incident will cut down on further accidental firing squads.  I have my doubts, though.
