So what does your smart phone say about you? Well, according to a recent survey of users of dating website OK Cupid, it says something about your sexual habits. According to OK Cupid’s own data, iPhone users have the most sexual partners when compared to the other major smart phone brand users. Scheduling a trip to the free clinic? There’s an app for that!
In order to make the data as useful as possible, Ok Cupid first restricted the age of all users to 30, in order to eliminate youth bias. When that was performed, the average number of sexual partners for iPhone using men was 1o, with the ladies notching 12.3 lines into their smartphone tethering post. BlackBerry users were fairly evenly distributed, with 8.1 for men and 8.8 for women. Android users were a little more sheltered, with men and women coming in tied at about 6 a piece.
The data, when stretched out for users 18-40, changes slightly but the results remain the same: iPhone users, then BlackBerry users, then Android users. Well, it’s fitting, in a way. The iPhone was the first smartphone for fun use, and like any social networking device, it exists primarily to get the user some action. Then again, maybe someone skewed the data with prolific intimacy.
