When police pulled over 51-year-old Gary Korkuc, nobody knew anything was wrong until police heard meowing from his trunk. Their suspicions sufficiently piqued, cops opened up the trunk and discovered the strangest thing, Korkuc’s dinner. In the trunk, Korkuc was marinating a live cat in a mixture of oil, crushed red pepper, and chili peppers.
Now, I’m generally not one to be critical of other people’s food, but when it comes to animal cruelty, that’s crossing a line. Korkuc claims he was doing it to punish the cat for its mean-spiritedness and wasn’t aiming on making the 4-year-old cat (now cleverly named Navarro) into a nostril-burning taste treat, but I know dinner when I hear about it, and that sounds like it was going to be dinner to me. He also, confusingly, complained about the neutered male cat getting pregnant after it was spayed.
Navarro was cleaned and put up for adoption. You can adopt him for $6.95 per pound with your choice of either white or fried rice. No substitutions.
