Harry Potter fans are breathing a little bit easier. Before, on the theme roller coaster “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey,” a central attraction at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter section of the movie-themed Universal Orlando Resort, certain patrons had to be refused use of the roller coaster. There was a limit on just how big the passengers could be, and some folks were too fat to ride. Now, a special car with more room has been added to the Harry Potter ride for obese passengers.
“Every since it opened, there has been some discussion about how people couldn’t ride,” said Matt Rosebloom of Orlando Attractions Magazine. Now, Universal has modified the ride so most customers will be able to ride it. I imagine there’s still a size limitation, but it’s probably so high that the average person who can’t fit on the ride also doesn’t leave the house, let alone enjoy a game of quidditch or meet Harry Potter.
