Are you a Twitter user? If you’re like me, you maintain multiple twitter accounts (including @popfi) so you’ve likely got several tabs open at the same time or, like an increasing number of Twitterers, you use some third-party software to manage all the streaming information like Tweetdeck or Tweetie. Soon, at least for the standard user, Twitter’s homepage is getting some much-needed added features to make the site more friendly for users and more profitable for advertisers.
Some of the new changed to be made to the web interface of Twitter are integrating pictures and video, like most third-party Twitter software does already. Instead of opening in a new tab, whatever you click on from TwitPic or YouTube will pop up within the Twitter home page to the bottom right as part of its new two-panel interface. Also, you no longer have to click the more button at the bottom to catch up on beautiful Tweets, you can just scroll down and Tweets display continuously.
There are still some features that need to be added to Twitter, like nested Tweets, but aside from that, these changes will make the Twitter interface significantly better. Once they get to the whole of Twitter, that is.
