The older you get, the funnier you aren’t, if you believe a survey from the UK cable television channel Dave. They say that, as folks get older, they laugh less and less. By age 52, the average man is officially classified as grumpy, laughing less than three times a day by age 60. It’d be funny, but the survey’s respondents aren’t laughing.
Among the other interesting discoveries uncovered in the research are that men are more prone to grumpiness than women. Also, at least in Britain, the average person only knows about two jokes. Now that is something to be sad over; how can you only know two jokes?! Surely they could take a lesson from Grumpy the Senator and learn that life isn’t something to be taken too seriously. By the time you get to be an elderly person, you need to realize you only have a few years left and you should enjoy them by any means necessary, so tell some jokes, ride a roller coaster, do whatever you enjoy because you’ve only got a finite number of years left on the planet.
