The old saying goes, “Don’t count your chickens before they hatch.” Surely, the same thing can be said about a half-skinned, presumed-dead cow as well. A 28-year-old skinner working in a slaughterhouse in Seekirchen, Salzburg in Germany thought he had killed a cow after the jolt of electricity scrambled its brain. Unfortunately for him, that wasn’t the case. He got about halfway through the process of skinning the cow when it jolted. The wounded cow’s jolt caused the skinner to stab himself in the forearm with his skinning knife!
The victim’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. As for the full-sized cow, he or she is officially deceased. I have no doubts that after injuring one of their own, the other guys in the slaughterhouse made sure Bossy became burger. Maybe next time you should check for a pulse before you start skinning the animal plopped down in front of you. Seems like a good idea to me, anyway.
I wonder if killer cow is as tasty as super-expensive ham. I’d like to try it! Killer cow adds an element of danger to a normal meal.
