If you decorate for Halloween, you probably do what most people do. Decorate a pumpkin, throw up some lights, maybe some skulls or witches, splash around some fake blood… nothing special. Just enough to be in the proper spirit. When Judith and Mitchell Fletcher were shopping for Halloween decorations, they picked up a box full of them at a yard sale only to discover that their decorations were a bit too authentic for comfort. The yard sale box contained a human skeleton.
Now, don’t worry, this isn’t some kind of serial killer’s trophy, just a normal human anatomy skeleton like the kind found in high school anatomy classes and college professor offices. They called the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office from their home in Brandon, Florida, and police assured them they weren’t in any trouble and that they hadn’t uncovered a madman’s slaughter lair.
Cops are calling local schools in an attempt to find the stolen skeleton’s true owner.
