Katurah Petty and Staniel Petty had plans, and nothing was going to change them. The two women had planned to steal some computer software, and a little thing like pregnancy wasn’t going to stop them from finishing the job. The two women are accused of stealing $271 in computer software from a Walmart in Alliance, Ohio, using some computer-generated fake pricing labels. That’s not where the story gets weird. One of the women, Katurah Petty, was in labor while she was stealing from Walmart.
Now that’s dedication! I guess if you can’t have a 10:10 birth on 10/10/10, you need to do something noteworthy to get attention for your baby. Giving birth to a child with a criminal record seems like it might get the kind of attention you’re craving. After her arrest, Katurah was taken to the hospital (I doubt she’s in any shape to make a run for it). No information on her current status or her baby’s health are known.
