Adrien Brody, to his credit, is not an actor who shies away from doing horror films. A lot of actors look down on them, but Brody doesn’t. From Predators to Splice, Brody has made a lot of horror appearances, and here’s hoping he continues the trend. However, there’s a problem over his appearance in the 2009 Dario Argento horror film Giallo: Brody is suing the producers, saying they shorted him $640,000 and released the film on DVD in America without his permission.
For their part, Giallo Productions Limited and Hannibal Picturessay that Brody was paid nearly $1 million dollars for his work on the film, and he’s not due any more money. Brody maintains that they exaggerated the value of Italian film rights and never discussed releasing the film in America. Brody filed his lawsuit yesterday; a last-minute injunction to try and halt the film’s US DVD home video release was denied, but Brody can still sue to get his fair share of that money.
