Beauty shops, especially on the weekends, are easy targets for opportunist robbers. They charge a lot of money, they deal in cash, and on weekends, they’re always super busy so there’s a lot of money filling up the till. That’s why an armed robber decided to knock over Sabine’s Hallway, a Brooklyn beauty salon. Unfortunately for the crook, when he went to rob the salon, one of the customers was an off-duty police officer who then exchanged gunfire with him.
When the crook eased in the door and held up the place at gunpoint, a 50-year-old police officer identified herself and told the man to throw down his gun. He fired at her but missed, then took off running into the night as the police officer returned fire. While the crook got away, the cash register remained intact.
Hopefully, the cop got a free hairdo out of the deal; she really earned it. Here’s hoping someone got a good description of the perp and that he’ll get arrested soon. I imagine his luck has completely run out by now.
