The tiny town of Los Ramones, Mexico, is at the center of a turf war. Located in the northeastern part of Mexico, in the state of Nuevo Leon, Los Ramones is prime territory for drug runners, and as such, the town is chock full of narcotrafficers battling for turf. In this case, Los Ramones is torn between the Zetas and the Gulf Cartel. The police are helpless against the drug trade, and after the city’s brand-new police headquarters was riddled with thousands of bullets, the entire 14-man police force in Los Ramones quit.
Can you blame them? I mean, honestly, would you feel safe reporting for duty in a place where everyone outguns you and you’re stuck in the middle of a drug war? I sure wouldn’t. Look at that building! They pumped thousands of rounds into it, and even threw six grenades at the building! The drug smugglers shot at the building for 20 whole minutes; it’s a miracle none of the police in the building at the time were killed.
I’m not one for cowardice, but I’m also not one for stupidity.
