Justice Reighn Mansfield, a newborn baby in Fort Worth, Texas, came into the world a little early. The infant was born 3 weeks prematurely. He was expected to be big, thanks to his mother’s type-2 diabetes, but nobody knew just how big the little bruiser would be. Despite being 3 weeks early, Justice Mansfield weighed in at a staggering 13 pounds. That’s the size of a bowling ball!
“We knew he was going to be a little larger than average, but nothing like this.” Even his wife was confused, laughed proud papa Mike Mansfield. “She was trying to figure out who had a 13-pound baby, and they said, ‘Honey, that was you’.”
Staff at Texas Health Southwest say the infant is the largest they’ve ever delivered. Justice is more than twice the size of an average newborn. I can only hope for his mother’s sake that he was a C-section delivery. He’s not a record-breaker, but he’s massive and definitely a little on the odd side.
