Domino’s Pizza Japan is celebrating its 25th anniversary, and like all anniversaries, it comes with its own variety of promotional gimmicks. For Domino’s Pizza Japan’s anniversary, the company is offering a couple of interesting deals. For example, any child born on September 30 (the date of Domino’s 25th anniversary in Japan) will receive a free pizza on their birthday until age 25. In another interesting publicity stunt, Domino’s is offering a $31,030-hour part-time job at one of its locations.
“Basically, it’s anybody over 18, no questions about education or experience,” said a Domino’s Pizza Japan spokesman. “We’re actually a little surprised by how much of a response it’s getting.” Of course, that’s only the first round; applicants who make it into round two will have to interview for the one-hour job. For $31,030 for an hour of work, I’d totally be willing to move to Japan and eat Domino’s pizza. I’d even clean the bathroom during that hour of time on the clock!
