Natalie Bradley-Wilson was minding her own business, not knowing that a hundred feet away, a crazed attack dog was just aching to sink his teeth into her. The 18-year-old girl was in front of Kingdom Hall when a police K-9 unit left the yard of an off-duty police officer and randomly attacked her. So, the teen girl did what any teen would do when attacked by a dog: Natalie Bradley-Wilson bit the rampaging police dog back.
“The officer was at his own home, cleaning out his police car. The dog may have been inside the car, ended up outside the car,” said Indianapolis Metro Police Department spokesman Sgt. Paul Thompson. “The dog was not on a leash at that time.”
The girl’s forearm was tore open and her biting of the police dog didn’t scare it off. It took a friend, armed with a briefcase, to get the dog off of Bradley-Wilson. The rescuer was also bitten. The dog will probably not face the death penalty, but the officer may face discipline. If your dog attacked someone randomly, it’d get put down; I guess police dogs get special privileges just like police officers.
