Apparently I have a thing for weird calendar coincidences, because whenever I see one, I tend to post it here. From the babies born on 10/10/10 to the baby born on 8/9/10 at 11:12, there’s something about it that just gets to me. I guess because I was born on 8/8 that I feel a natural affinity towards babies with cool birthdates. Here’s the latest: Lucy Lassam was born on October 2o, 2010, at 8:10 PM. That means she was born on 20/10/2010 at 20:10 at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, England!
Lucy’s parents, Katie and Simon, knew that the date was getting close when Katie went into labor, so Katie just decided to go for it and gave one last heroic push. Viola, there came Lucy, right on time. Call it a delightful accident, great timing, or fate.
“Hitting the nail on the head with the timing of Lucy’s birth is quite incredible really,” said Katie, 32. “The chances of her being born at the time are just astronomically high. We couldn’t have done it if we’d tried. She’s the perfect date. What a way to make an entrance into the world.”
