When it comes to tiny people, there’s nobody in the world smaller than Khagendra Magar, the world’s smallest man. However, when he’s looking for a date for the next Guinness World Records event he attends, he won’t have to look far, though he will have to look up. Hatice Kocaman, the world’s smallest woman, is 28 inches tall and weighs 15 pounds. Of course, he’ll have some competition for her affection from the smooth-dressing former world’s shortest man, but hopefully they can reach an agreement.
“I always hoped that one day the world would recognise me,” said the tiny Ms. Kocaman, age 21. “It was hard when I was a child because all my classmates used to tease me for being small. But now I am famous bec ause of my size. So it makes me feel like I am much taller.” And she’s single, fellas! “God made me the way I am and I am proud of that. I hope I can find someone who will love me one day.”
Aside from her small stature, Hatice is perfectly normal in terms of cognition. Said her mother, Hatun Kocaman, Hatice grew normally until about age 1, then her growth slowed down while her walking and talking skills developed like those of her peers. Hatice’s dwarfism, related to a rare bone disorder, was only diagnosed by physicians a few years ago.
