If you have even a passing interest in college football, there’s one thing on your mind this morning: finding out who is playing where and in what bowl game. Well, look no farther. The complete 2010-11 college football bowl game schedule has been released. From the Armed Forces Bowl to the Texas Bowl and everywhere in between, the contracts are signed, the teams are booking flights, and the highlight reel of the college football season is ready to begin. It starts with Troy and Ohio in the New Orleans bowl and ends with the top-ranked Auburn Tigers versus the second-place Oregon Ducks on January 10 in Glendale, Arizona.
The other four BCS bowl games look to be good ones, too. The SEC’s 10-2 Arkansas Razorbacks square off against 11-1 Ohio State from the Big Ten in the Sugar Bowl. The Orange Bowl features 11-2 ACC champs Virginia Tech and 11-1 Stanford of the Pac-10. The Fiesta Bowl looks to be a mismatch, with the mediocre representative from the Big East, 8-4 Connecticut, taking on the Big 12‘s 11-2 Oklahoma. The Rose Bowl is where the interesting game is, as non-automatic qualifier and future member of the Big East TCU, 12-0, squares off against 11-1 Wisconsin in a battle of rushing and defense.
