There’s an epidemic sweeping America. It’s not the rocking pneumonia or the boogie-woogie flu; in fact, it’s the antithesis of good old-fashioned music completely. It’s Bieber Fever, and it’s spreading. Not content with releasing his fingernail polish, doll, and fragrance lines, Bieber is stretching his wings and entering the world of collectible cards, with card maker Panini America releasing a Justin Bieber collectible card set in Walmart, Toys’R’Us, Target, f.y.e., and even Bed Bath and Beyond (that beyond section must be pretty weird).
“It’s awesome; it makes me feel great,” quoth the Bieber in a statement. “I always dreamed of being a hockey player and having my own trading card. I remember collecting hockey cards, so the idea that kids are going to enjoy my cards like I enjoyed my hockey cards is amazing!”
The card set contains 150 unique cards and 30 different stickers. There are also puzzle cards that can be assembled to form one of four nine-card mini-posters, 12 Spellbound cards, 18 Download cards and 10 XXOO cards. If those mean anything to you, then I guess you’re a bigger Bieber fan than I am. That also means you’re a 10-year-old girl.
