Fresh off a successful run in the Las Vegas Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon, a female runner collapsed at the Burger Bar at Mandalay Place, a casino/entertainment complex in Las Vegas.  This story could have an unhappy ending, but fortunately for the woman, Elvis was there to save her.  Well, not the real Elvis, but a doctor dressed like Elvis.  Elvis, AKA Dr. Claudio Palma, an anesthesiologist, performed CPR and revived the fallen woman without even taking off his rhinestone-studded costume!

Dr. Palma was also a participant in the marathon, and true to its rock and roll theme, was dressed appropriately.  In true Vegas fashion, Sunday’s marathon day was a big day for Palma in more ways than one.  Not only did he save a woman’s life with his quick thinking and CPR prowess, he also completed the marathon, stopping only to get married in the middle of the event at a run-through wedding chapel.

If that’s not a big day, I don’t know what is!
