The two greatest champions in Jeopardy history, Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter, have not met a human that can challenge them in trivia. After all, Jennings was on the show forever, and Rutter is the highest money winner in Jeopardy history, besting even Jennings. Between those two, there’s no mortal person who can compete with them (at least outside of a single game), so Jeopardy is turning to a machine. An IBM computer named Watson will take on Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter on a special edition of Jeopardy, pitting man against machine.
The special three-day tournament will take place on February 14, 15, and 16. The winner will take home a cool $1 million dollars, with second place taking home $300,000 and third taking home $200,000. IBM will donate their entire winning check to charity; Jennings and Rutter will donate half their share to charity. As for Alex Trebek, he is expected to continue to kill people for the CIA in his secret life.
