The damage from the Wikileaks scandal might be bad, or it might not be as bad as expected. No one really knows how the Wikileaks Cablegate scandal has affected the US abroad, so the government has charged the Central Intelligence Agency with investigating the Wikileaks fallout. Officially, the CIA’s investigation of the damage caused by Wikileaks is the Wikileaks Task Force, but everyone at Langley is calling it WTF for short.
WTF, for those not fluent in netspeak, is a slang set of initials which stands for a statement I won’t repeat here. Suffice it to say the first two letters in WTF are What The, and the last F is a rude term for Fornication. I’d imagine the CIA wouldn’t be having so much fun with this issue if their files were caught up in the Wikileaks backwash, but the CIA refused to put its information on SIPRNET and spared itself the damage.
I’d imagine no one regrets Wikileaks more than recently bailed-out Julian Assange right now.
