Move over, Carrie Underwood. There’s another girl in town, making a name for herself while enacting retribution on an ex, and that girl’s name is… well, we don’t really know her name, but we know the name of the guy she’s pissed at: Jack Weppler.
Or, rather, we know his face thanks to that girl.
When Mr. Weppler, who is still in his teens, dumped his girlfriend, the proverbial crap hit the fan. To say this girl doesn’t handle rejection well is an understatement. But rather than slash his tires, key the doors of his truck, or deal some other form of damage to his personal property, she aimed her sights on humiliation. Combining Jack’s photo with a handful (okay, a barrelful) of rude phrases, the angry ex turned him into a meme and made sure her macros are the only things that showed up when you searched for him on Google Images.
And, as just about everyone knows, once something is on the internet, it stays on the internet. Jack and his family have been trying for six weeks to have all of the modified photos taken down. His mother said, “[W]e’ve done everything we can to get images off of Google including URL removal tool, a letter to Google Legal with all the URL’s because of copyright infringement, and nothing has worked!”
Poor Jack. Maybe next time he’ll think before he… dumps someone.
I wonder if Google’s help section has anything on changing your name?
