You may not know the name and face of Adrianne Palicki, but you will by this time next year. Palicki is one of the stars of the upcoming remake of my favorite Patrick Swayze movie, Red Dawn, and more importantly, she’s won one of the most coveted female roles in television history. Adrianne Palicki has been cast as Diana Prince, AKA Wonder Woman, in David E. Kelley’s upcoming pilot about the adventures of the DC superhero.
Adrianne Palicki is best known as Tyra Collette from the critical darling Friday Night Lights. Given that FNL is wrapping up this season, she needs something else to do; why not take on one of the most iconic roles in television and comic book history and put on the star-spangled jumpsuit to play Wonder Woman? Physically, she’s perfect for the role: tall, shapely, the right features, etc. She’s also got some positive buzz from being on a brilliant TV show, which will only help her (and Kelley) get the project off the ground.
Now all that’s left for Palicki to do is learn how to throw a lasso and deflect bullets with her wrists and she’ll have it down pat.
