As the trailer says, The Wolf Pack is back. If you don’t know who the Wolf Pack are, then you obviously didn’t see the hit comedy The Hangover, about three guys waking up from a drunken, drug-fueled night of debauchery and searching for their missing friend while trying to figure out just what in the world happened to them the night before. Coming out of nowhere, Todd Phillips’ hit comedy took in $500 million dollars worldwide and was a huge hit that surprised everyone. So, unsurprisingly, The Hangover Part II was immediately pushed into production. Here’s the first trailer for The Hangover Part II.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6eKOVoJQyd0The amazing thing about this trailer? It’s just the song and a slow-motion walk through the streets of Thailand, as well as some establishing shots of debauchery. In a movie world where comedy trailers try way, way too hard, this one is pretty much perfect. It shows you nothing of the film, but it’s still exciting because it’s the three guys from the funniest movie of 2009 back together again (with quotes that remind you how funny the first one was).
I just wish Mel Gibson had been able to stay around during filming, because his small role would’ve been as great as Mike Tyson’s role was in The Hangover. Still, I have to admit I’m looking forward to this one.
