I’m a bit of a movie fan. Plop me down in front of all types of movies – from the goriest to the goofiest to the critical faves. From big budget to no budget, I love to settle in with a bucket of bacon-flavored popcorn and lose myself in a film.

So this Sunday is a special day in my home. It will be Oscar night.

I’ll be popping the cork on a bottle of champagne. The red carpet will be rolled out and the celebrities will be donning some of the most beautiful and bizarre gowns imaginable. Everybody wants to go home with that short bald golden guy named Oscar.

The King’s Speech is a big favorite to rack up the most awards from what I’m hearing. The Coen brothers’ version of True Grit may sneak in and snag a few. The Black Swan wants to dance all over the competition, but folks involved with The Social Network are hoping all the voters clicked their “Like” button when they sent in their ballots. And I’m sure Toy Story 3 will cause a few tears to be shed just thinking back about Woody and Buzz.

To remind you of all the Best Picture nominees before the big event, MTV has linked to some funny gifs from each flick.  Watch Rooster Cogburn boot a child, a hot kiss from the Black Swan or a “thunderous punch” from The Fighter.
