Nickolas Galiatsatos is having a difficulty with his business, Nina’s Bella Pizzeria in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. He’s got mice in his building, and that’s hurting his business. Rather than hire an exterminator, Galiatsatos blamed his mice on his competitors in the pizza game and decided to hit them back in response. Nickolas Galiatsatos planted two bags full of mice at competitor pizza restaurants in an attempt to get the health department to close them down.
“This guy planted them to put these guys out of business. I’ve been at this for 47 years, and I’ve never seen mice used as a criminal tool,” said Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood.
Galiatsatos, ever the smooth criminal, simply walked into the restaurants he wanted to close down, Verona Pizza and Uncle Nick’s, and left bags of mice there. He planted mice in the bathroom of Verona and left them in the trash at Uncle Nick’s; in both cases police found the mice before they were hurt or escaped. Galiatsatos faces charges of cruelty to animals, criminal mischief, harassment, and disorderly conduct.
