Rock, jazz, bluegrass, or country... Les Paul could play it.

When it comes to honoring folks who deserve it, Google goes all out.  And when it comes to people who deserve the best possible Google Doodle salute, Les Paul has to be it.  I mean, he invented the electric guitar and, in the process, completely changed music in the process.  Why wouldn’t Les Paul get a playable guitar for a Google Doodle?

Not only can you play Google’s logo today by strumming it with your mouse button, you can also play it by plucking keys on your keyboard.  Even better, if you can manage to pick out a tune on Google’s electric guitar,  you can record it and play it back, akin to many of Paul’s innovative techniques as a sound engineer, including overdubbing, tape delay, phasing, and multitrack recording.  You can be your own sideman in the Google Rock and Roll Circus!
