You would think that life in an Amish community would be clean, wholesome, and free from the distractions of the modern world. You’d be wrong. As it turns out, Amish communities are home to serious drug abuse and sale, puppy mills, and now attempted sex with minor children. That’s right, the Amish have discovered sexting, and they’re aiming their Favre-cams in the direction of 12-year-old girls. William Yoder, 21, has been arrested on four felony counts of seeking sex with a minor after sending 600 explicit text messages to a 12-year-old girl and arranging to meet her for buggy sex.
Fortunately for the girl, when she got her first texts from Yoder, who she did not know and apparently had never met, she turned the phone over to her parents. Despite being told the girl was under age, Yoder didn’t give up and continued to send dirty texts, completely with graphic pictures and videos. When he arranged to meet the tweenager at the Takehome Restaurant in Milroy, Indiana for some buggy sex, he didn’t know he was actually arranging his own arrest.
When Yoder arrived and secured his horse and buggy, the police arrested him. His parents were contacted to come and get the horse and buggy, while Yoder gets to experience the modern conveniences of a life behind bars.
