Takabishi: This is the world's steepest roller coaster.
Adrenaline junkies, grab your passport and book a flight to Japan for this weekend.
There’s a new record-setting roller coaster about to make its debut to the public. The Takabisha (Japanese for “domineering”) takes riders to a peak elevation of 141 feet before plummeting through a 121-degree s-curve back down to Earth. In addition to the major drop, the coaster also has the usual upside down loops and sharp turns. The ride, located at the park named Fuji-Q Highland near the foot of Mount Fuji, knocks off France’s Le Timber Drop as the king of the steepest coasters.
If you can’t fly to Japan for the ride’s ribbon cutting this weekend (or any time in the foreseeable future) take a ride on the Takabisha courtesy of this video and check out Techland for more info.
