Paradise, Burt Reynolds' beautiful Florida estate.

For years, Burt Reynolds was the face of Florida.  He and his then-wife Loni Anderson were huge stars, and Reynolds has been one of the biggest boosters of Florida, even appearing in commercials for the state while highlighting his beautiful estate, dubbed Paradise, in Hobe Sound, Florida.  As it turns out, Burt’s been forced to turn his back on Florida and his massive 4.5-acre estate in Martin County.  Burt Reynolds owes Merrill Lynch a staggering $1.19 million dollars in back mortgage payments, more than a years’ worth of payments!

Reynolds, who had a brief comeback in the 90’s, hasn’t worked steadily in some time, and in recent years the 75-year-old actor has had a lot of plastic surgery and a lot of health problems, including several heart surgeries and a stint in rehab.  Still, you can never count out the most famous mustache in movies.  He’s got a movie coming up, and if he can somehow manage to sell his $2.4 million dollar estate, he’ll be able to pay off his mortgages and then some.
