It’s been a big week for the East Coast what with an earthquake on Tuesday and a hurricane over the weekend.
Thankfully Hurricane Irene didn’t create quite the devastation that was expected. That’s not to say that that there weren’t deaths as a result of the flooding and wind damage, especially in North Carolina and New Jersey.
No matter the wind speeds, all the television networks had multitudes of reporters out in rain suits to update us on the latest extreme (or not so extreme) conditions. During these intrepid reporters’ times on the streets and piers along the East coast, they often interviewed and encountered citizens, sometimes with surprising results. As far as I know, none of them ran into giant New York rats though.
I’m guessing neither of the reporters below expected to encounter a drunk nor a streaker, but thank goodness the camera was there to document it and Happy Place found and shared them.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwgCD9hVSbINote this imbibing young lady leaves the interview and races, with her umbrella turned inside out, straight across the street to a bar, while the bemused reporter tries to make sense out of what he just heard.
Then below before you watch, please note there is brief nudity in the background and at a distance. But it is worth watching to hear the outrage in the reporter’s voice as he tries to be super serious while people are driving, splashing and playing behind him.
