Tots getting permission to surf on their parents’ computers on Sunday morning may have seen more than was appropriate.
For 20 minutes, the Sesame Street YouTube channel was showing way more than Big Bird and the Cookie Monster. A hacker took over the normally felt puppet-filled educational-laden channel and changed it to a flesh-laden X-rated porno site. This hack attack was way bigger than taking over your car. The normally safe Tickle Me Elmo educational moment turned into a sex education scenario. This was wzy more risque than Katy Perry wearing a revealing dress on Sesame Street or a discussion about Bert and Ernie’s sexuality.
The Sesame Street channel was shut down and a press release came out apologizing, but the normally educational videos weren’t returned to the site until Monday afternoon. There was a post on the site while it was hacked that claimed responsibility for a YouTube user named MrEdxwx. MrEdxwx later posted that he was not responsible for the inappropriate puppet encounters.
With computer hackers, it appears nothing is sacred.
