The McRib, everyone’s favorite McDonald’s sandwich and a personal favorite, is one of those rare treats that’s worth going out of your way to get. It’s a part-time menu item at McDonald’s, meaning it’s not available everywhere all the time. Individual franchisees choose when they’re going to roll out the McRib, and it’s rarely available across the entire country at once. Well, this is one of those rare times. McDonald’s has released the McRib nationally, and you’ve got until November 14 to get your hands on that delicious, ribby goodness.
“We’ve been spoiled this year and last year with it being around nationwide,” he said. “But I hope it stays elusive because otherwise nobody will come to our website,” said Alan Klein, the creator of the McRib Locator website. Launched in 2008, McRib Locator allows McRib fans to find the closest McDonald’s franchise selling McRibs, and it’s the greatest website not named PopFi.
McRib was previously released nationwide last year, but before that? You have to go back to 1994 to find the last time McDonald’s made the McRib available everywhere. There’s only one place on Earth you can get the McRib year-round, and that’s Germany. Germany has all the luck, apparently.
