It’s that time of year when people think it’s super hilarious to cross dress. Halloween brings out the drag in lots of folks, but especially professional athletes.

You might think that’s creepy comedian Carrot Top up there, but it’s actually pro snow boarder Shaun White. Yes Mr. Winter X Games and Olympics medal winner is doing his best impersonation of a female fast food icon. I guess one of his other friends had dibs on the Strawberry Shortcake costume. Looking like that, he might deserve some  gross candy in his trick-or-treat bag.

White isn’t the only dress-wearing dude in the slideshow of athletes in costume compiled by ESPN. The NBA’s very own recently retired Godzilla – Shaq – and the NFL’s future Rookie of the Year and current rookie record breaker – Cam Newton – also fall into that category.

The other athletes included  went different routes. Some chose standard “buy it at the Halloween store” costumes, while  others went with full face make-up to create their new persona. The slideshow includes an eclectic list of athletes including Jeff Gordon, Dennis Rodman and John McEnroe, as he might have looked when the original Halloween movie aired in 1978. It also throws in some cute kids impersonating adults in the sports world.
