Halloween has blossomed into a $6 billion industry according to reports this year. A large chunk of that will be spent on candy of both the familiar and unfamiliar variety, while another significant portion will be used to purchase costumes, both for adults and for pets. Lawn decorations also make up a piece of that money pie. A prime example of the extremes home owners go to in order to get Halloween festive is this maniacal light show.

In addition to all the treats and goodies and apples dropped into trick-or-treat bags during the holiday for kiddies, bake shops are also getting into the mood with incredibly intricate and gore-filled goodies. Several television shows are now based upon creating exotic and enormously elaborate cakes. Like the one at the top of the page, I’m not sure if any of these cakes made their way onto television shows,but they are definitely cringe inducing and worthy of checking out.
