It's Black Friday, Black Friday, gotta go shop on Black Friday.
Before October was over, I’d seen my first Christmas commercial. On Halloween weekend, I saw my first Christmas decorations. Every year, the holiday rush towards Christmas gets faster and faster, and nothing moves quite as fast as the online world. Amazon has already debuted its combined Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals website, and the deals have already started for interested parties. Are you ready for the shopping season? Because Amazon is; here’s the link to Amazon’s Countdown to Black Friday.
Just think, in 23 days, you’ll be heading out in the wee hours of the morning to stand in line at you favorite retail store and buy yourself some inexpensively expensive, heavily discounted consumer goods in an orgy of spending and savings. Better start getting ready now; if Christmas in July sales weren’t enough to keep you on your toes, you’d better get on said toes, because the shopping season has officially kicked off. It’s Black Friday, not Rebecca Black Friday.
Between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, is there any sales day Amazon isn’t ready to attach itself to? Maybe they should invent one. How about Savings Saturday? That’d be the day after Black Friday when what little is left at the store gets discounted in an attempt to completely clean out the shelves before my next shopping holiday, Restock Sunday.
