Today is Veterans Day here in the United States. It’s a day we take to honor those who have before and are now serving our country. No matter the branch of the military, these men and women put our nation before their lives.
Obviously we should give them the utmost respect every day of the year for the sacrifices they and their families make to keep America safe and free, but Veterans Day is the one official day as designated by our government.
I’m not sure exactly when this became a regular thing, but now several national restaurants chains and other businesses are joining in to say “Thank you” in their own way by offering free food and discounted food and services to our military vets.
The Military Wallet website has a very long list of establishments that are offering up everything from free meals to free appetizers to free donuts. In addition to food, lots of amusement parks and even our national parks are offering free entry to those who have served.
So if PopFi can’t offer our veterans free Crazy Bread as a way to say thank you for your service, at least we can’t point them in the right direction for a day filled with free food and likely handshakes and pats on the back for all they do for our great nation.
