Kutcher and Moore in happier times.

All good things must come to an end.  From the perfect marriage of hipster equals to the perfect example of a cougar relationship, it seems like there’s nothing harder than a celebrity marriage.  Six years ago, Ashton Kutcher married Demi Moore in a noteworthy ceremony that people paid attention to due to the 13-year age gap between the two.  Now, the Ashton/Demi marriage is officially over as Demi has filed for divorce.

“It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton,” said Moore, 49, in a press release.  “As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life.  This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation.”

The couple celebrated six years this year; however, on the night of their six-year wedding anniversary, Ashton Kutcher is rumored to have slept with 22-year-old party girl Sarah Leal.  Still, they made it six years, which is a whole lot longer than anyone ever assumed given their 13-year age gap in Kutcher’s favor and the general short duration of the average Hollywood marriage.
