In 2010, PopFi brought you the story of mountain climber Jordan Romero, who was on a quest to climb the highest peaks on all seven continents on Planet Earth. Well, it’s almost 2012, yet 15-year-old Jordan Romero has to find a new life’s goal. After scaling to the summit of the Vinson Massif in Antarctica, Jordan Romero has climbed to the top of all seven continents.
“Legendary day. Team’s absolutely strong as it can be,” said Jordan’s father, Pete Romero. “The mountain gods let us climb on top of Mt Vinson.”
The climb was a treacherous one, with temperatures as low as -25 degrees and winds whipping up to a brisk 17 miles an hour. Still, Jordan, his father, and his stepmother made the climb as part of the team, completing a dream that started when 10-year-old Jordan scaled to the top of Africa’s Mount Kilimanjaro. Now comes the hard part of the team’s climb: getting back down again!
