15-Month-Old Angel Babcock, the tornado survivor that almost was.

Not too far from where I live, tornadoes and terrible storms ripped through the community.  In Pekin and Henryville, Indiana, a pair of tornadoes destroyed the communities.  New Pekin was hit by an EF-3 and Henryville was hit by an EF-4 on the Fujita scale, and both communities were pretty much wiped off the map by the storms.  It was terrible, but there was one amazing story.  Angel Babcock, a 15-month-0ld baby girl, was ripped away from her parents in New Pekin, but somehow survived with critical injuries.  Unfortunately, Angel took a turn for the worse and passed away on Sunday.

Tornadoes do strange things sometimes, taking things from some and leaving others untouched.  Angel Babcock was ripped from her parents when they and her two siblings were killed by the EF-3 tornado.  Somehow, she survived albeit with critical injuries.  I imagine people were thinking she was going to make it and she was showing some positive signs of recovery until her brain started swelling due to the traumatic injuries.  The fact that she suffered a fatal setback is terrible, but not unexpected.
