Tim Duncan is an NBA legend. He’s not flashy or acrobatic–after all, he’s The Big Fundamental, known for his consistency. His other team mates might get all the attention due to personal-life wife-stealing drama or their bat-killing prowess, but not Duncan. He just shows up, plays basketball, and leaves. At least, that’s what he normally does. However, last night someone must’ve been having some fun with Tim Duncan, as the official NBA box score for the game lists Tim Duncan as DNP-Old. That’s right, Tim Duncan was scratched from a game due to old age.
Amazingly, while Duncan didn’t play, he still managed to get on the bad side of official Joey Crawford. For whatever reason, Crawford hates Tim Duncan and doesn’t hesitate to give him a technical foul, no matter if he’s playing or not. That’s right, on the night that Tim Duncan got a DNP due to old age, Joey Crawford still gave him a technical foul. That’s a pretty incredible feat, especially for a graybeard sitting on the bench in a suit.
