The circus will continue. Only four days after being released by the New England Patriots, veteran wide receiver Chad Ochocinco has found a new home and it’s the same as his old home. He’ll be taking his talents to South Beach; Chad Ochocinco has joined the Miami Dolphins. He’ll be joining the team on Wednesday to participate in some off-season training activities/OTAs, where he’ll bring some of his flashiness and receiving skills to a team in dire need of one good wideout. Chad Ochocinco was born Chad Johnson in Miami 34 years ago.
“You would like to have some players make it easy and distinguish themselves, maybe make the picture a little bit clearer,” Dolphins coach Joe Philbin said. “We have to catch the ball more consistently at every position on offense, because it is not quite where it needs to be.”
Ochocinco won’t have to compete too hard to win playing time. The Dolphins traded away last season’s leading receiver, Brandon Marshall, and Cinco signs to a wide receiver corps that includes Legedu Naanee, Brian Hartline, Davone Bess, and not much else. Given his skills and in spite of his age, he’ll definitely be a good addition to that crew of cast-offs.
