Steve Nash will take his dribbling to Los Angeles (as a Laker).
The Los Angeles Lakers have needed a point guard for the better part of a decade. The team had Derek Fisher for years, but he was never really a good point guard. After trying to get Chris Paul only to have the trade rejected by the NBA, the Lakers made due with what they had for a pretty disappointing playoff run. Well now, the Lakers went out and got the league’s best point guard and a two-time MVP. Steve Nash has agreed to a sign-and-trade, moving from the Phoenix Suns to the Los Angeles Lakers.
So the question is: who will be on the Lakers when Nash gets there? Metta World Peace should still be there, as is Andrew Bynum for the moment. Lamar Odom is gone, though; there’s no way to tell who will be there by the time the Lakers get through this season’s summer trading season. For all we know, Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant will be running and gunning with Dwight Howard by the time this is all over.
