Snooki is now a mommi.

Our long national nightmare is over.  The Snooki baby watch can come to an end; as it turns out, the baby is here and is very healthy.  Snooki, whose real name is Nicole Polizzi, was rushed to the Saint Barnabas Medical center in Livingston, New Jersey, in the wee hours of Sunday morning.  By 3 AM, Snooki and fiance Jionni LaValle welcomed 6 pound 5 ounce Lorenzo Dominic Lavalle into the world.  No doubt the baby was immediately given a tight Ed Hardy tee-shirt, a supply of hair gel, and some gold chains.

“The world just got another Guido!!!,” a Polizzi rep told MTV. “Nicole, Jionni & Enzo are doing great!”

MTV is bringing Jersey Shore back for a sixth season.  MTV says Snooki will be involved in the season somehow, but it remains to be seen how Jionni and Lorenzo will be involved in the show.  If they could work around The Situation’s trip to rehab, they can pretty much shoot around anything that might come up with having a family.

I’d like to formally wish Snooki, Jionni, and Enzo the best of luck.  I think they’re all going to need it.
